Welcome to the real world, she said to me*

It's funny that, when one is out there (facing reality, people, the weather conditions, etc.), on the street or trapped in queues (oh the waiting!), one tends to search the familiar midst all confusion and perplexity.

This search evinces itself by the need to be around people you recognize; comfort food; endearing music or clothes that you know will fit. As long as it is something you know what to expect, it's okay if the world is upside down or in full economic crisis.

You're fine and that's all that counts
when you sense the fear running through your veins.
