watching Jamie Cullum singing his version of 'Love for Sale' was clearly the image of a boy, proud of his creation - in this case, particularly, a cover of the widely known Cole Porter's music which dates back to 1930.
have you heard Jamie's version?
this is not an easy cover - easy in the sense, likable. the first time I heard it, I couldn't bring myself to like it. I thought it was horrendous, very raw and only finished hearing it because it was Jamie's.
but then, somehow, one day, I was doing something else, unrelated to music and it came back to me:
"Love, love for sale.
Appetizing young love for sale"
So, I give it another try. It's like this Portuguese saying:
"Primeiro estranha-se,
Depois entranha-se”
