gallery "BREAKING SHIPS"

this is a-kinda-of  follow-up on the labour conditions of people taking apart ships. somewhile back, due to a newsletter, I posted a photograph from National Geographic, where one can see the hugeness of a ship while it's being torn apart. at the time, the photo brought me such amazement that I went on and did a little investigation about the photo's site. and I learned about the importance of the breaking ships 'industry' in Bangladesh.

photo from the Gallery (the link is below on the next paragraph)
today, in another newsletter, I found this slideshow from Inteligent Life which presents photographs from a local's perspective, someone who grew up near this incongruence that I see as a mist of hope, hurt, money, and work.
