dos concertos em Julho
já passaram uns dias, por isso, a minha memória que é tão boa com pormenores (not) só vos consegue dizer isto:
Melody Gardot
mesmo vestida de avózinha e a usar bengala, é uma mulher com charme, deve ser da sua voz, que é tão suave que enfeitiça, fica no ouvido e não sai!
manda umas piadas com msgs xuxu (mt subliminares)
ensinou-me que "love is the only thing you can be a fool about"
nunca mais compro bilhetes para o segundo andar no CCB. sou míope e vejo mt mal dali lol
o saxofonista a tocar dois saxofones ao tempo e um rapaz da banda dela que tocou violoncelo como se fosse uma guitarra acústica
all in all, por mim, tinha ficado lá sentada até ficar com o rabo quadrado!

um encanto de artista, misturou músicas do novo album com músicas dos albuns anteriores de uma forma que me fez recordar e re-descobrir melodias e letras que há muito conheço
aprendeu a dizer 'meo cao' (meu cão) para adaptar a uma música dela 'The Man of the Hour'
pediu bebidas ao bar em pleno concerto (para ela e para a banda) - disse que eram doces, acho que eram caipirinhas
Cascais Cool JazzFest é o festival mais limpinho onde já estive
adorei a versão de 'Creepin In' cantada qs accapella com a banda toda junta de um microfone daqueles antigos, que lembra os inícios da rádio

Emma Woodhouse
I watched, the other day, the last episode of BBC series "Emma", from Jane Austen's novel and one of the things that surprised me was to see how awkwardly people socialized in the 19th century... The way they spoke, what social activities there were... and then I wondered: what if we could experience living in another century?
What it would be like to live in a time where all girls treat each others by Miss?
"Miss could you please be as so kind to pass me the jar of water?"
LOL
It's like their dialogs were so much more rich and structured - meaningful and true. But that was also an outcome of how society was layered by hierarchy. For me, hearing them speak was more fun from a linguistic point of view because thesedays, we're pretty basic and straightforward when it comes to communicating. Still, there's always room for misunderstanding.
